This work is made from traditional Zulu weaving skills that I learnt from traditional homebuilders in the highlands of KwaZulu Natal. This work celebrates a rediscovered notion of home and a sense of belonging to the African landscape. It is a metaphor that is created around my own bodily dimensions and imagines myself asleep in the land.
